Determined Athlete & Below-Knee Amputee Joins U.S. Track and Field Team - Tamarack Habilitation Technologies, Inc.

World-class runner, Amy Palmiero-Winters has joined the U.S. Track and Field Team. What makes her story so inspiring is that Amy is a below-the-knee amputee. Amy trains for her races by running 120 miles per week – a challenging feat for any human, let alone an amputee. Recently Amy completed the grueling Run to the Future 24-hour race in Arizona. Did we mention it’s a 130 mile run through the desert? She also qualified for the Western Sates Endurance Run – one of the most challenging 100 mile races in the world. Amy’s story goes to show that the right amount of determination will conquer nearly any obstacle.

Recently NBC Nightly News featured Amy’s story on video. Check it out here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032619/vp/37742791#37742791
