UnitedHealth Group recently released findings from a study predicting that “the majority of Americans could have diabetes or prediabetes by 2020, at a cost of $3.35 trillion to the health care system over the next 10 years.” The company proceeded to mention how community wellness programs and public health initiatives could help prevent nearly 10 million diabetes diagnoses.
